EMS Toolkit. Emergency Medical Service Provider Intranet Feature: Open Shift Pick-Up 

Open Shift Pick-Up

The Open Shift Pick-Up feature allows you to publish out open shifts to your staff.  Notifying your staff for open shifts will cut down on overtime payout and employee shortages for your trucks. This system will ensure employees meet the minimum criteria for a shift. For instance, an EMT will not be allowed to pick up a Paramedic shift. Additionally, when coupled with EMS Toolkit's Certification Tracker employees with expired certifications will not be allowed to fill the shifts.

Over-Run System

The Over-Run feature allows staff to enter in the circumstances of their over-runs.  This is helpful for many reasons as you can track to see if the over run could have been avoided by better scheduling, therefore eliminating over-time or determine if the over run was because of a crew performing their tasks slower or possibly if a hospital or facility was the cause of the delay.  In any case, the over run feature allows your management staff the ability to analyze the over run and determine if it is valid or not.

Self Help Shift Coverage

The Self Help Shift Coverage feature allows your employees to attempt to find coverage for their shift. This system does not require management intervention until a willing replacement has been found. By allowing your staff to help themselves it not opens up time of your management team so they can concentrate on more important tasks but also will decrease the amount of "No Call-No Shows" and EMS personnel call-outs.

Self Help Shift Switch

The Self Help Shift Switch feature, like the Self Help Shift Coverage feature, allows your staff to find a fellow staff member to "Switch" shifts with.  This feature leaves management out of the process until the very end for final approvals. By allowing your staff to help themselves it not opens up time of your management team so they can concentrate on more important tasks but also will decrease the amount of "No Call-No Shows" and EMS personnel call-outs.

Time Off Request

The Time Off Request feature built into EMS Toolkit allows your staff EMT's, Paramedics, Nurses or any other staff you may have submit their time off requests. Time off requests placed by your employees will be queued for final approval by one of your management staff.

Virtual Time Clock

The Virtual Time Clock gives your agency a cost effective way of allowing your staff members to "punch" in/out of work.  Using Secure IP technologies we can ensure your employees are only allowed to clock in from pre-authorized terminals.  This feature does not require any additional hardware other than a computer with an internet connection, mouse and keyboard.
